I Say I Love You a Lot
For You Never Know... A father talked to his son the other day, in the conversation of what is going on in their lives and how the other is doing, grand kids are fine and the job is going good. We are going to take a vacation and come to see you dad, the son says. Dad is excited by seeing his family again. The conversation continues for a few minutes discussing the things of life and the world. When they go to say good bye there is something that happens and the son has to hang up fast. Did they say "I love you??"
The father working at removing the snow from his walk way, feels a sharp pain in his chest and dies before help arrives. Does he wish that he had told his son he loved him one last time??
A man travels along in a car from home to work after a bad argument with his wife, he loves her dearly but they fight that they got into has him wishing that they would have been able to compromise and come to an agreement on it. The truck on the other side of the two lane road blows out a front tire and the driver can't recover, he is on a head on collision with the man in the car, it is to late to get out of the way the truck crushes the car. Does the man wish he would have told his wife that he loved her???
Lovers separated and one is at home doing her day to day, her lover travels for a living and keeps in good contact with her. He feels guilty or kind of stupid for saying he loves her all the time, but he knows that there may come a time when she is asleep, or he is unreachable and something happens. Something weird, something strange, something that is out of either of their control. He knows that he doesn't want to feel that he didn't tell her that he loves her with all of his heart. To have just a good bye between them the last time that they talk to one another.
None of us know when our time is done. None of us know when we will go to bed and not wake again. Don't you think that telling the person that you love, either in written word, voice mail, face to face of how much they mean to you and that you love them is important?
