I Am Tired, So Very Tired
I am blind to what greatness lies ahead, though hope is a fire within me, Oxygen burns as it enters my lungs & courses throughout my bloodstream.
To think, to dream, to remember, then to breath, I am scorched.
I don't seek the emptiness of death, I long for the widest, tallest breadths & deepest depths of the fullness of life.
My soul hungers & thirsts for more, but my head longs to rest.
Whether I hunger until I can no longer, or solemnly lay my head down, I fill find my rest.
But may my seeking find its object, that I may find rest in completeness, as one after a banquet lie down to bed.
