I Am Tired, So Very Tired

I am tired of putting my all in and getting so little in return. I am tired of being either overlooked or belittled. I'm tired of other people's feelings taking precedence over mine. I'm tired of putting people first and the gesture never being reciprocated. I'm tired of sacrificing my happiness for others. I'm tired of being tired and now I need to make some drastic changes.

I hope you are willing to communicate how you feel. My guess is that you are very, very appreciated and those close to you are just assuming that you know that. There is also a temptation to take a "selfless" person for granted because you are always there, always doing. If I were being selfish (and I have been) and my wife or a close friend felt that I was overlooking them (maybe because I was :) ), I would want to know so I could immediately correct my behavior.
Thank you for putting your all in... it is in fact, the best way to live life even during those times when you don't feel appreciated.
