just a random observation...

you talk with someone and next thing they think they own you
and you put your foot on the brake and then some may insult you
they get closer and gather info
just to post private convo on home page for all to see
or they haven't finished saying hello and here comes the P photo
some are just fair weather friends, you say something they may not like and it's bye filecia
people are awesome
people are fickle
people are vile
people want to be adored in a shallow way
people want you to parrot their thoughts
you don't want to waste time on such nonsense
you don't want to go deep , they are wearing a mask
pearls before swine kinda thing
well people don't want to accept all of you for fear they may be judged by their other friends
people come to you with ulterior profiles not their main
just in case you deny them
the reasons why we hesitate is endless

It's a good question for someone new to ask. Unfortunately, people get burned enough times by others that they stop responding to messages. Generally speaking, most of us will respond to someone that we've gotten to see often on the boards answering questions and the interactions have always been positive. It's easier when you manage to form some kind of friendly bond over time. We get to see whether you're someone who we think we'll have something in common with.

Yes creepers on here but for me it depends on the question or statement... nothing to do with who posted it

I notice that women get a lot more attention here (I don't just mean for selfie threads but any threads), but that's probably because there are more men here than women and they will be drawn to them.

That’s a really big factor. I talk to people here on questions and stories but I tend not to answer PMs unless they come from someone with whom I regularly communicate.
