I Want All Truth And Nothing But The Truth

Recently I had an estranged experience on a dating site. Shocking? No, not at all--especially as it pertains to Tinder. So this guy reaches out, we connect, enjoying our conversation and all, lightly flirting so on and so forth. He asks me out, but later tells me that he has a wife...later (after asking) he tells me he has a daughter. Fine. But instead of being highly upset with the situation, I decided to learn something from it.

1. Men and women: PLEASE lead with the fact you are in a committed relationship/have children. Why? Because you're allowing people to become attached to this highly false idea of who you are. It makes us uncomfortable because it seems as if we willingly flirted/interacted with you as if we were cognizant of your spouse/partner.

2. It should not be, "Ask and I shall tell." As a committed person, it is your duty to, "Tell and let thou ask questions afterwards". You cannot force someone to be okay with your situation, nor disclose that information only at your convenience.

3. If you want something strictly platonic or whatever, please, please, please, put that in your profile bio. Also, you probably shouldn't be on Tinder...ijs
