Listen for they will tell you what they see, hear, taste, smell, and feel in the past, present, or hope to in the future. While you are told about the person, place, thing, or idea they perceive with their senses, either a positive or negative word will be used to describe it. Depending on whether they find it pleasing or different than what they would prefer.
Now they will tell you about what they want.
Then if you stay long enough, they will tell you what to do, or give you suggestions on what you “should” do.
Don’t forget the comic relief. If you’re close enough they will jokingly mock you or themselves and you will laugh. Or they will mock others, mimicking their tone of voice and body language so well, we can’t help but laugh.
Seriously.
Next time you’re in a conversation. Pay attention. I do it too.
