I Want All Truth And Nothing But The Truth

#1. You are beautiful-

The standards of the trending image of “beauty” changes by the second. Yet it is to the convenience of some to promote this. And it is beneficial to promote this, maybe beneficial to all of us. Why? It is beneficial to the companies promoting cosmetics, clothing, surgical procedures, and beauty products to promote this. It generates money, benefits businesses, opens up jobs, and is good for the economy which is good for all of us right? Right. At the cost of making people feel insecure because it serves as the incentive to get you to consume. Don’t get me wrong it’s fun, makes us feel good, but it affects those who happen to not fit the standard elevated on a pedestal by majority. Then the standard is constantly changing, so if we define ourselves by the opinion of the media, they wouldn’t want us to stop consuming, so we will always feel as if we’re not “there” yet. As a triangle is different from a square but not objectively “better” or “worse”, so you are different, and beautiful in being you, in being different. Everything else is based on mere preference and functionality on how pleasing you are found to others.

#2. The negative label they call you, in your face or behind your back, is not objectively true-

Well it is true for them. You are subjectively defined and labeled based on how pleasing, productive, and harmless you are to others. The negative labels I call others is because they are not pleasing, productive, or harmless to ME. I take the negative labels I am called personally, but IF I was ever truly able to realize others will only define me according to how functional I am to them, and detach myself from their opinion, it shouldn’t affect me. Can I get there? That is the ideal. When two people contradict each other in opinion and desire, it takes incredible effort and control of our ego and self to not escalate into an argument.

#3. The facts should generate empathy, understanding, and lessen the amount of negative labels we use to describe others. What are the facts?

* None of us chose to exist. We are dealing with the consequence of an action two people took in having to adapt to this world. Through reward and punishment we have adapted to become beneficial to those around us.
* Free will. It doesn’t exist absolutely since we didn’t choose our existence, our body, mind, instincts, the world, and what it contains. We DO have options once we are born, or we can create something new from what is already there, but we didn’t choose to have to deal with this world and its options in the first place. Once we are born we are free to choose among the options that are there, so we do have a degree of free will, but it is not absolute.
* Division of religions. Ideally it would be great if everyone listened to each other without degrading others through words. This is my attempt to maybe bring a point to unite or find common ground. If the Creator of existence wasn’t the ultimate authority with the greatest power, to save us from earthly pain or hell in the afterlife, to give us earthly blessings or heaven in the afterlife, would we follow this Entity? If the answer is no what does this show? If the answer is yes, then why don’t we follow after everybody then? Why don’t we follow the lawn mower down the street, or the janitor picking up trash, or the person who is not pleasing, productive, or harmless to us? It shows that we are neutrally selfish, necessary for our survival and safety. Being selfish is not negative. It is necessary because if you have no boundaries and give it all away you won’t survive. The ones that are selfless in action like missionaries, firefighters, police officers, who actually put their lives on the line are the exception.
* Lessen the objectification and social stigmas in relation to others- We have the same fears: ridicule, pain that doesn’t eventually end or make us stronger, death.
We have the same desires: belonging, admiration, pleasure, and comfort in living. We have the same conditions we have to measure up to which we expect of others as well:
Be pleasing, be productive, be harmless.
* If anything, can we at least look at ourselves and others differently, can we understand ourselves and others in a more genuine way where we put ourselves in the same boat as they?

And this is ALL I got. Make someone laugh, make someone feel not labeled, give compliments and a kind word to someone... that is the outcome of what I want to do from here on out based on what I’ve realized. That and to overcome the offense of my ego when I am negatively labeled for not being what others want.

The end.
