I don't like being rude.
I have a coworker who gets defensive and agressive if he is corrected or if someone doesn't answer his question fast enough for his liking.
Our backroom has shelves which are labeled with the names of what is stored in that spot.
I am working on a client of mine and he comes up to me spazzing about needing tracing paper. I tell him it's on a certain specific shelf in the back. He is still spazzing and I see another coworker heading to the back. I asked him to please bring some tracing paper back with him. Problem coworker begins yelling at me saying he's never going to learn where the paper is if someone brings it to him. He just continues to yell at me about it.
I ended up raising my hand out to him telling him to first calm down and to not speak to me that way. I told him I'm with a client and cannot physically show you. I told you where to find it and the shelves are labeled. He began backpedaling and stumbling over his words trying to say his sorries.
I felt sorry for my client and couldn't say so enough. I never raised my voice or used foul language but I felt sorry he had to witness that.
