Can someone , maybe a woman.. just tell me what I did wrong here
So today I was at Mall shopping for a gift for my daughter's birthday. I was approaching Macy's and this lady was leaving. She had on a killer perfume that my ex wife use to wear all the time and my daughter LOVED it. I completely forgot its name so I stopped her and said "excuse me, that perfume that you're wearing is lovely and absolutely amazing, what's the name?"
She chuckled and told me and I thanked her and walked away to find it. A few minutes later she came back to me and said "You didn't need to use the perfume as bait to talk to me, the moment you looked at me I was sold." Now I'm there looking CONFUSED as hell because I genuinely didn't know what she was talking about.
I told her that I was really interested in the perfume as I was shopping for my daughter and she loved it. She then said "wow, ok that hurt" and then she threw her iced coffee on me and walked away. Just like in the movies!!
I'm still trying to figure out what was it that I said or did that was soooooo wrong.
