I Know A Little About Insanity

A fellow was driving down the road one day when his tire blew out. He was stuck in the middle of a bridge and there was no help to be seen. Reluctantly he began changing the tire. With much effort he took off the lug nuts and carefully put them in wheel cover so he wouldn't lose them. As he was wrestling the new tire into place he accidentally kicked the wheel cover and lug nuts into the river. With no other means of fixing his car he began to walk back to town. About a mile down the road he came across a mental institute. One of the patients was hanging off the fence and yelled at the walker, "Hey watcha doin'?" The driver found himself explaining what had just happened to the inmate. The inmate said "Well why didn't you take one nut off each of the other wheels, put the spare tire on and drive home"?. The walker was stunned by the brilliance of the inmate. "I thought you were crazy" he said. "Yeah I'm crazy" said the inmate "but I'm not stupid"
