Do you ever get the overwhelming feeling of "non-reality"?

I do not mean to be philosophical, but does it happen to you that when you start to think about the world, you slip into a moment where you are overwhelmed by a certain feeling of everything being just a part of your imagination. It is a cocktail of emotions, from fear to joy.

When I think too deeply about things I start to. I look at castles and think "there can't be that many bricks" and start questioning everything.

Not just that, that's just one weird example

@CheshireCatalyst That is actually a very good example because I get a similar feeling when I start to overthink some details. It is like a whirlwind, I get sucked into it. Very strange...

@sumojumo all of history is just a mindfuck. There are these huge ancient buildings that took hundreds of years to finish. Who oversaw that?! How did anyone care about something they'd never be alive to see finished?

@CheshireCatalyst I think there was probably a whole lot of "do it or starve" shit going on.

@KuroNeko for the common people yeah, but the oversight... The king who ordered it is dead. The architect is dead. The foreman is dead. They're all three generations gone. Who's running the show?!

@CheshireCatalyst maybe they were into reincarnation 🤷‍♀️ or it was just a case of the builders being typical builders and saying 6 months when they really meant 80 years. 🤣

@KuroNeko oh, definitely the latter :D. And the initial estimated costs were 30 sheep and it went up to 30000000000000 sheep.
