Do you ever get the overwhelming feeling of "non-reality"?

I do not mean to be philosophical, but does it happen to you that when you start to think about the world, you slip into a moment where you are overwhelmed by a certain feeling of everything being just a part of your imagination. It is a cocktail of emotions, from fear to joy.

Well, life is but a dream.

@KuroNeko it sure is... how do you cope with this realization daily
KuroNeko · 41-45, F
@sumojumo I think we are just here playing roles in order to evolve spiritually. I guess I just have faith that the things that happen are for a good reason. Makes it easier to just accept things as they are and take whatever challenges that come.

@KuroNeko What is spiritual for you? I am a very rational person, so I am curious what is spirituality for other people.

@sumojumo the part of things that isn't material. We can't see everything but it doesn't mean those things dont exist. Everything is vibration, what we see is being vibrated into being. We are all coming from a kind of signal, that signal is the basis of spirituality.
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@KuroNeko How do you know that this signal exists? Just your feeling, or we can explore it further?

@sumojumo theres plenty of science on waves and fields. The theory of morphic resonance is interesting too. That comes from a guy called rupert sheldrake. I come from a pretty rational, scientific place too. It may not seem like it! I like to research different areas until things link up. I've never been one to just pluck an idea out of the air and go with that lol. Its unfortunate that these areas are still regarded in that way.

@KuroNeko I am very careful when it comes to such things. To me it sounds like: "when you have a hammer, the whole world is a nail". Physics has indeed modeled a lot of natural phenomena as waves, however I am very skeptic when it comes to extrapolating this notion to other realms. This is often misused in scientism, which is just using "sciency" words to build a sort of fake sense of importance. Probably the most famous representative of scientism is Dheepak Chopra. I am not sure what kind of research you are referring to, I just like to be cautious :) since there are so many quacks out there.
