Might be a little bit late but there is one thing that i dont like and that is you and the racists bunch burning the Confederate flag it stands for. With the blood of christ and the protection of God we 13 states fight for liberty and freedom
@Chickenbob No, the Confederate flag exists because white racists wanted the right to own human beings, and later, to disenfranchise fellow citizens and deny them rights purely because of skin color. When I was a child, and Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, white supremacists flew that flag in celebration. It’s the equivalent of the swastika in the U.S.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard that the skins heads kkk people that make us look bad the flag was used by general Robert e lee army as the battle flag of the Confederate army that flag had nothing to do whit slavery and the biggest slave owner was a black man form south Carolina he used whips and beatings and made white slaves owner look like sunday school and one more thing 6% of of the south had Slaves so what was the 94% fighting for states right and abraham Lincoln to mind his own business
@Chickenbob If you review the secession statements (still available) you’ll see that all of the representatives of the southern states gave as their reason the concern that slavery would be abolished and “negroes would be free to move among the populace”. They spell it out very clearly. Moreover, I don’t know what revisionist lies you have been told, but the Dred Scott decision and similar legislation made it legal for slavecatchers to even grab free blacks from non-slave states, take the south and enslave them. So there is no way anyone black would ever be a “majority slaveowner”. The only “state’s rights” the South wanted to protect and the reason they went to war was for the right to own black people. That’s why the flag exists. As far as the KKK “making the South look bad”, it was very bad. A very evil place with an evil, racist history. You can’t lie your way out of that.

@bijouxbroussard you can look it up right now a black man had a huge plantation that had a lot of slaves but when the south had about 6% of slaves owners in 1861 and in 1862 before the ep the south had about 4% slaves ownership and the ep was made in 1863 and fighting was already happening your telling me that 300,000 men died for a stubid slave bull shit they fought for states right to tax what they want not the federal government tax whatever it wants the funny thing is the north tax nothing on it own stuff but tax everything the south sold and driving it bankrupt so we left the union which was coming legal and we fought for the same reason Washington did 87 years before all if that you are talking about is yankee propaganda fed to you by libtards and yankees
@Chickenbob And what you’re claiming is typical of the lies racists conservatives want to tell themselves because they know they can’t deny ugly, racist legacy of hatred. Yes, that’s what they died for—their racism. And that’s what Jim Crow was all about—and the lynchings. Racism.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard ok yea that happened but it because the south was piss about the civil war still and we made the jim crow laws cause of the north pushing there way of life on us now just the other day there was a meeting and on the sign it said blacks only no white people at all
@Chickenbob The difference is, the Jim Crow laws were legal—part of states’ rights, and applied to whites only schools, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, banks, companies, businesses in general. And the South was allowed to do that from long before Reconstruction until the Civil Rights Act was passed. There is nothing “blacks only” that would stand up to any legal challenges today. You just don’t consider one meeting important enough to fight about.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard there was more then just one north Carolina California schools and college protest and what about black lives matters shouldn't be all lives matter not just one race
@Chickenbob The Confederate flag symbolizes the long held belief in the American South that only white lives matter. So the only people who fly it are white supremacists. That’s why the KKK flies it.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard bull ive got black friends that fly it on there trucks and Mexicans to were i live so that is invalid try again
@Chickenbob There are a few blacks who hate themselves so much they’d join the KKK if they could. Just because you know some ignorant Uncle Toms doesn’t change the facts. That’s probably the only reason they’re your friends—they hate black people, too. 🙄
@bijouxbroussard I commend your patience, but the guy you’re arguing with is either a cretin or a Russian troll.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard yankee popagranda again the south fought for the same reason Washington did 87 years before no slavery involve that why Lincoln put the ep in 1863 not 1861 and btw 6% of the south own slave during the war 3% of the north had slave grant Lincoln and other union generals davis own no slaves Robert e lee stone wall Jackson had no slaves and Robert e lee said that owning a person is unjust and cruel and unhuman alot of the rich people had slaves but that it not all the south had slaves so what was the 96% fighting for rights unfair taxes same reason Washington did
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@LeopoldBloom buddy im from the great state of Georgia in fact 2hours from Atlanta my 2xgreat grandfather and his brothers fought in the 65th Georgia engineer regiment and btw reather be dead then red
@Chickenbob Like I said, read the secessionist papers. They’re online now. You’ll see, in their own words, why representatives of the South chose to secede from the Union in the first place. It was because they were afraid Lincoln would end slavery with an executive order. And even those who didn’t own slaves personally recognized it as part of the economy and way of life. They needn’t have worried. Lincoln was more concerned about keeping the U.S. intact. He even said he was willing to to compromise, by having both free and slave states.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard but the thing is the north had taxes that was driving the south bankrupt and the north acting like nothing going on we left becuse we were going bank rupt but the carpit baggers made it 10x worse
@Chickenbob But here’s the thing; the language of the secessionists makes it clear that the possibility of slavery ending was what they feared most. They could’ve continued to have paid workers, or even have used their indentured servants, who were often working alongside the slaves. And after the war freed slaves continued on as sharecroppers. But after the war the South also implemented Jim Crow and Black Code laws, because of racism. It was much more than economics.
Chickenbob · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard because we were piss and still are and taking our anger out on people that had nothing to do with the reason why we left the union we had nothing to do with slavery and Lincoln made it big deal slavery went sown 2% by it self but no one talks qbout it you act like the whole south had a bunch of slaves
@Chickenbob My family is from the South, too. I’m old enough to remember the “whites only” signs and when I was a little girl and we were visiting relatives I wandered into a segregated Woolworth’s and the white security guard threw me bodily out into the street. I never knew my slave ancestors, but I experienced the end days of Jim Crow personally. Racism. And there’s nothing you can say to excuse it.
