I My Weight Is Skyrockettimg

In August I hit 375 pounds. I couldn’t wait to reach 400 pounds, which I did about a month and half- 2 months ago. I recently tried to weigh myself and my scale showed error. So I set out on a quest for a new one. I’ve recently noticed changes in my body. I’m getting winded faster and easier. My belly is hanging lower. My jeans do NOT fit (I’ve been using rubber bands to “button” them). Shirts don’t cover my belly so I have to double up. Even getting off the couch or sitting up/turning over in bed is taking more effort than it has in the past. I finally found a scale that I knew would be able to weigh me (but I don’t know for how much longer). Any guesses on my current weight? 423 pounds. I’ve really blown up the last few months and weeks!!

Gross. Bad for your health. Bad for your caretaker's or nurse's health. (Yes, you'll need them.) Not cute. Not funny. Not sexy. Just sick. Now go ahead and delete my answer because you can't stand hearing the truth.

@Tomorrow no one is listening. Stop investing your time where it's wasted.

@Enplumpen I guess you were listening. You responded. Someone else hearted my answer so others do agree. From the look of it, with all the deleted answers by author, other people most likely agreed with me too. This is a public forum. My opinion is as valid as anyone else's. You didn't ask the question. You shouldn't police other's answers or comments.

@Tomorrow Take your own advice, you shouldn't police peoples lives. This isn't a democracy, they have their own wants and needs. You have absolutely no say or stake in that.

@Enplumpen Laughs. Oh I sure do have an opinion. One I'm very much entitled to. Especially when I'm just one of the many nurses and other healthcare providers working the hospitals, caring for people who think it's cool to eat themselves to death for a fetish. It is pathetic to expect everyone to be silent when that behavior is so detrimental to others. If you want to stay at home and kill yourself with food, be my guest. I don't really mind. It's when you damage others' lives and health that really pisses me, and a lot of other people, off.
@Tomorrow You might think you’re showing concern for her health, but you come across as a self-righteous scold. You don’t know why she’s fat or what efforts she’s made to lose weight. Despite the advertising from the diet industry, most people who attempt to lose weight are unsuccessful. So maybe she’s made the decision to just embrace her situation and enjoy life as much as she can.

Just curious, do yo also scold people who skydive or ride motorcycles or engage in other dangerous activities? Especially since it’s much easier to not do those things than it is to lose weight.

@LeopoldBloom You have no idea how many health care workers I've known with massive back injuries - some that are now disabled themselves because people think it's cute to PURPOSELY eat themselves into obesity and beyond!!!! When you have experience with it, you will not find it cute, sexy, funny, or excusable in any way shape or form. If you actually bother to read her post you will see she isn't trying to lose weight she is TRYING TO PURPOSELY GAIN. It is detrimental on so many levels. If it stopped with only being detrimental to her, I would give a shit less whether she ate her self to death or not. But it affects others and those affects may be life altering. So no. I am not showing concern for her health - she has already decided to fuck that up on her own but I will however point it out in case it makes her stop and think. I am concerned for others, like me, who work in hospitals, and care facilities and who have to take care of them, lug them up and down, transfer them from one place to another, try to catch them when they fall, scoot them up in bed over and over and over, all of which puts our health at risk for nothing more than stupid fetish games. People who have true medical problems resulting in weight gain - ie thyroid, pituitary, diabetus 1, Cushing's disease, CHF, etc or people who take medications like steroids, some seizure meds, etc - that's an entirely different ballgame. Those things cannot be helped. Those people did not ask for these problems. People who PURPOSELY do it to themselves - that's quite another situation entirely. I really don't care if I sound like a self righteous scold because I myself have dealt with a back injury from crap like this - someone who thought it was cute to gain as much weight as possible. Luckily my injury wasn't permanent but I was off work for an extended period of time until it healed. I will not apologize for my opinion. It is based in fact! As for your unrelated question about people who engage in dangerous activities - go right ahead, I could care less as long as they don't take anyone else down with them. I have said all I will say on this topic thread. I have stated my opinion and the valid reasons why I feel and say what I do.
