I Like To Use Animated Gifs

Question gif users: How does one insert a Gif into their story on SW? Thank you and I apologize for taking up the space.

I find the gifs online. When I got the one I'd like to use, I copy the web address of the gif (not the page). It's Important that the address ends with a .gif or it won't be recognised.

Then go for the "insert image" (first option just above this text box). Chose the URL/link option and paste the web address of the gif into the empty field in the pop up box. Click insert, and voila.

I hope it was explained somewhat understandable, I'm not great at explaining this, way better doing it.

You explained perfectly clear as you do in all the posts and replies I’ve seen. I put together my own gif of images my dad took at the beach years ago. I guess I’ll need to create a specific landing spot address for it. Thank you! @SapphicHeart
@KaTeeEvent
Yes, there are sites that offers you creating your own web address for a gif. Glad it made sense to you,as for my other replies around the place. Not everyone seems to be capable of understanding my points. *-*

Don’t sell yourself short, Sapphic. The thing about intelligence and decency is that it’s not book learned or memorized and always crystal clear to the observer but not always to the owner. From the handful of poignant responses I’ve read, you’ve got it girl.

Thank you. Takes one to recognize it. I will make my mistakes formulating my opinions, and at times use wrong phrases, it's part of the disadvantage of taking part on a mainly English language based site and not being native speaking oneself. I won't complain, it's just how it is. Those who are sincerely interested in my opinions will know how to ignore these mistakes. Those not being sincere will try use it as a tool to ridicule as they run out of other more convincing points in a discussion/arguing. C'est la vie. ;-)

Goodness, your grasp of a secondary language as difficult and nuance-filled as English is exceptional. We in the States sadly have not put early emphasis and similar energy into learning another language. It is a continuing mindset that the rest of the world revolves around the U.S.

It is, which at other times makes it rather difficult to discuss some of the matters, especially when talking about European issues. They aren't fully, nor correctly quoted in Breitbart reports. I had one so many discussion about some of the hopeless headings that have been taken as a fact. So funny how facts and fake news are being used these days, but when people aren't really curious, or looking for an understanding of how/why/when then it's rather meaningless to debate any topic as it will become a competition of who can shout the loudest and the most derogatory names at each other. To think adults behave in such matters is a puzzle to me. I know i correct my children when they start acting like that. Convince me by word, not by shouting... Hmm. 🤔

I think shouting is a device used by the unsure and immature who, perhaps, cover up a lack of self-confidence. I believe too that guys are far more prone to bluster and yelling louder to make their point.

Case in point, our pseudo-intellectual who stole the racist comments of an outlandish author and made them his own. When you simply confronted him he had the option to acknowledge or shout you down. He is a boy who like your young children has yet to learn the basic human skills of adult maturity.
@KaTeeEvent
So true. Some however never will learn this part, and more sadly it seems becoming the new par for politicians. Sighs. They are the ones supposed to lead and show us directions, being ideological and thinking for a longer period in time to provide the best development for our countries. As for now they do quite the opposite and make sure we lose.

I am saddened by the world politic. Like the monster we talked about last night (at least in the US), a politician with zero experience who spent his life self-aggrandizing, lying, cheating and beating the system with zero regard for anyone other than the person staring back at him in the mirror, playing to the fears of the masses and blaming others before him seems to work best.
@KaTeeEvent
It's unfortunately all seen before in the history. Someone talking to the lowest in our inner beast, making a mutual enemy of some minorities. It's all too well-known would people interest themselves for our history. I don't say we should live in the past, but I do say let's not make the same mistakes and take with us the wisdom that was bought for a very high price back then. My fear is it will be too late.

Let us, dear Sapphic, enjoy the rant and opposite opinions and views that sometimes seem angry and insane here on SW but also the openness, beauty, kind hearts, funny, inspirational and wonderful folks as well.

Perhaps the world will burn as its leader looks smugly into the mirror but I have a feeling it will survive as it has in the past because heroic people stand up and the little people will continue to talk and in a special way change the world inch by inch.
@KaTeeEvent
I love that approach very much. :-D
