Well, I've learned something new about my heritage. My parents observe Ash Wednesday but they don't really bother with the Fat Tuesday traditions.

I remember my grandmother tried to make them once and they turned out just awfully. So we ordered them from Wojtzceks bakery. Oh so good. Just try not to drop any filling on your Carhartts.
