I Like to Hike
Went out for a quick hike this morning. I've been doing this particular section of the AT for a while now and I finally managed to do it at a pretty good pace without stopping to rest once. Well, I did stop to snap this picture:

It was a little rainy on the way up so I was a little worried about it being muddy, but luckily it was just isolated rain and it didn't actually rain in the section I was hiking. I hit the trail about 8:30 AM and the mist/fog really gave it a nice ambiance. I love how the sun rays filtered through the leaves. I would have stopped to snap more pictures, but I was trying to keep my heart rate up.
Interestingly I crossed paths with a guy riding a horse. First I had ever come across that sort of thing before. Yea and the damn thing shit all over the trail so for a few miles I had to really watch my step, which wasn't very fun at all. They should prohibit horses from getting on that trail, but I think it might actually be pretty common. I tried to warn a couple of other folks I crossed paths with, and realized that I couldn't properly pronounce the word "excrement". I had never actually had to say that word out loud before. Not sure why I didn't just say feces, but whatever. There were kids so I didn't want to say "shit", although in retrospect I suppose I could have said, "poo" which I actually did with some girls earlier. Not sure what is up with my logic.
Anyways I had a good hike and wanted to share with you all. Happy hiking!
