How much of your life

Have you waited to start living?

Really?
Freeranger · M
I think you're asking a rather subjective question Tripp.

My knee-jerk answer would be...."it should have been the moment I realized I needed to get my thick head out of my assets and actually DO something with my life. There are times when, I settled, and did what I needed to do and then there is the wistful side of me that thinks I should have been a Travelling Wilbury playing George Harrison's All Things Must Pass extravaganza over and over on a narrow boat while plying the waters of the UK.

I was one who always thought too deeply. I try not to do that anymore.

@Freeranger I was high as shit. Sums up my "subjective" personal feelings at the time. Absolutely adore your mindful reply however. Damn.

Youd have been the 6th Wilbury spiritually, no doubt.

@Trippy Hah....well then, I won't judge you amigo. 😎 So.....For What It's Worth(great song by Crosby, Stills & Nash btw) , had I been drinking something when I just read your reply, I'd have snorted it out through my nose.

I appreciate that. I think many think that Harrison only became himself after leaving the Beatles and hookin' up with pals like Tom Petty and other like-minded musicians. It was then that he really grew. I think?

@Freeranger What I...think, certainly isn't exactly clear. ( one of the best grooves ever) .

I snort milk out mine on the regular. Feel ya. Truth simply spoken, sir. Interesting mindsets intrigue mine.

Old school musicians have been prophets to me via vinyl for years. As a happenstance fan of all you've mentioned, I agree.

A bit dated on the reply but, you start living when you find out who you really are. Redundantly, it's why I love and rely on history, because if we can just stand still long enough, sometimes.....we can catch the messages on the wind. This piece of truth was written during the most turbulent period of our history. It's called a Confederate's Prayer.

I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men [people].
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I had asked for,
but everything that I had hoped for.

Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered,
I am, among all men [people], most richly blessed.

I don't even know. I've been in survival mode for the past decade at least. Coming out of that and trying to figure out where to go from here is something I'm working on/wrestling with.

One third, it's when I'm sleeping. 🤣

Well, by no means I want to reduce the intensity of this question. A good one to always ask oneself.
I don't really think I have lived at all yet really cause if you are not happy with your life then is it really considered living

I feel like the opportunities to start living keep growing but I’m not wasting time. Except on SW. lol.
I think I’ve lived a full life and it’s still going. Few regrets

Never! When I lost a younger brother who was 19,I realized that life is precious and love to enjoy it too the fullest ❤️
This is profound! Yet to let the excuse of "a condition" decide my life.
