I've Had My Shoes Taken Off Me

Back in year 4 (Primary School UK) I was in class and I had this hardass of a teacher who I don't think liked me at all; it was during a test and I tend to shoe play when I'm nervous as I didn't wanna fail the test; then at one moment, my feet slipped and my shoes just plopped off causing a thud on the floor... I swiftly put them back on but it was too late; a few of my classmates glared at me and our teacher yelled at me; telling me to see him after class... which was lunchtime followed by gym and maths then home time. after class; everyone spilled out of the classroom and I tried to sneak off but sadly, my teacher caught me and shouted me by calling me "sunshine". he did that a lot and my heart sank. He placed a chair in the middle of the classroom in front of his desk; shouting at me to sit down. which I did. He was angry with me telling me that it was the fifth time I've disturbed his class, with shoe play, talking and being slightly mischievous. " shoes are supposed to stay on your feet... you're not at home, you're in my classroom... do you hear me sunshine?!" he yelled at me... I nodded, I hated being told, I always regress to a silent shyness.

"no, I don't think you do! so if you want the classroom to be like you're at home then it will be." he told me bending down... he unlaced my shoes in a flash before he also slipped my socks off exposing my bare soles to the carpet; "now you're at home, sunshine." he growled at me basically taunting me by limpingly holding my shoes and socks in his hands... "but I'm not barefoot at home sir." I whimpered at him much to his anger... "well, you are here, sunshine... you don't deserve shoes or any footwear in my class if you're not gonna wear them properly... so these will be going in my office and you'll spend your lunch in there too with me then you'll go to your next lesson barefoot too." he shouted before he pulled me up by the arm, dragging me into his office and putting me in a chair telling me to be silent and telling me not to fidget. He placed my shoes and socks on his desk in full view of me as he focused on his paperwork... I sat there for the whole hour looking at my shoes and socks... my bare soles against the rough carpet of his office. I must admit I did kinda like it. After the bell went, he told me to go to the gym and that my mom will be called to tell her to pick up my shoes and socks. I went off and after what felt decades of gym and maths; the end of the school day came and my mom picked me up at the office before we went to the classroom; she had no idea why I was barefoot but I could see she had some idea.

My teacher told her that it was the ideal solution considering the disruption I had been repeatedly. my mom wasn't happy with me and my teacher heralded another solution; that I should go to his classroom every morning to have my shoes and socks confiscated and be barefoot for a whole month so I would learn my lesson as much as I protested, my mom agreed and I had to spend a month doing that.
