I Have a Step Brother
I first met my step brother when I came to a new school last year of elementary school. He was in my class but I never really got to know him well. He was popular and I was a chubby girl with braces and real shy.
Then a year and a half ago my Mom started dating this guy and I finally met him but it wasn't until I was over at their house the first time that I realized that the man my Mom was seeing was his Dad. It would have been better if he was a stranger I think, but for some reason because I knew him from school it got real awkward and I could barely talk and blushed - embarrassing. He was all cool and everything, he always is.
Mom and his Dad married last summer and now this boy from my class has been my step brother for a year. He can be a bit annoying at times but having him as a stepbrother has helped me not be teased and bullied so much at school. Its almost like his coolness had rubbed off... well not really but at least people leave me alone more, probably because he told them to.
I wish I could say we are like best friends or how close we are but I can't, but I like him most of the time except when he is being a brat with me and I think he likes me even though it would be hard to get him to admit it out loud. That is the best I can ask for right now.
