I Love Railways

I grew up on the railway. My Dadcu is a station master. It’s just a coal line. Three trains a day. When I was little he took me to work with him. Get me out the house! I used to play on the platform. Until the big red engines came in. And then I would be in the cab. And Dadcu wouldn’t know where I was. But that’s the magic about railway families. You’re always safe.

I do miss the trains, here it's all huge goods trains & nothing else, it feels like

There are goods trains. The oil trains from Milford Haven and the big coils of steel going to the tin plate works. @firefall

Well I did. I didn’t realise it then but growing up on the railway is quite unusual. Even now when I go on a train the conductors always want to know how Dadcu is. @olderuncle944
