I was able to leave my abusive marriage after 13 years,it may sound kinda silly,but after he divorced me is when i finally had the courage to leave,i told him i was'nt happy in the relationship & wanted out,he broke down a little but i wanted to be straight up with him & all,something i could not do before cuz i was actually afraid of him & what he might do,he was bipolar & not on any medicine saying he could do it by himself,when he would be in a mood or a high,he would take his anger out on me,sometimes putting his hands on me etc...its funny how it took a divorce to make me finally stand up & leave for good!!!!
