I Am a Social Reject
A social reject is one that isn't accepted for who they are by their community. Usually for operating in an unorthodox manner, they would be shunned for their differences.
In tribes this individual would be cast to live on the fringe, separate from the rest.
Wounded by their rejection and left without any support, they continue on the path to heal one's self. This sense of isolation would cause one to turn inwards, into the realm of the subconscious, developing an awareness unprecedented by others.
Painfully independent, one goes through many ego deaths until the result of healing is acquired. In understanding the cycle of death and rebirth, through self-transformation, one is not only able to heal one's self but also others.
Recognised for their deep perception and insight, they're sort after and established as the village Witch Doctor. Prepared to look at what others are scared to see in themselves, they enable others to let go of (detach from) their sense of self (ego) and observe their insecurities from the perspective of an outsider looking in.
With this the shaman has now finally found their place in their community.
