@abooklover I haven’t been so good a picking partners. I’m not in a good marriage now and we have guardianship of the grandson. So finding a woman that would bring me that kind of joy is only in my dreams. I had my chance and now I have obligations to fulfill. But I will never stop dreaming.

@jaymic64 I couldn't understand more. Two divorces here. Walked away from the one 32 years ago and have paid dearly for my mistake. Been there.

@abooklover well I did make a promise. Now I have a 20 year old special needs son and a soon to be 4 year old grandson. The rest of my life is already planned out for me. I am not ever going to give up on my boys. There are other ways to find happiness even though it’s never complete. That’s just the world we live in.

@jaymic64 I completely understand. Trust me I never wanted to be divorced. My son's father is gay, so that was never going to work and my second husband went back to England. Sometimes choices are made for us.

@abooklover unfortunately you’re right. Makes ya wish that you weren’t so damn responsible all the time. I can’t imagime just walking out. My dad did, my first wife did. And she left me with a two year old. I can’t fathom their thinking.
