I Think We Take Too Much For Granted
We see great swathes of the rainforest being cut down to satisfy our thoughtless need for palm oil because using butter in our pastry is too expensive!
We watch the TV adverts of the various charities telling us there are children starving in Darfur and Yemen as we eat our cornflakes but think little of it, despite the LiveAid inheritance.
We see taxes increase and hear how the government need the extra revenue to repair our broken society and then do nothing when they import more people into our country under whatever auspices thoughtless about the impact this immigration will have in the strained resources we have because there aren't enough taxpayers.
When are we going to take responsibility for our world 🌎 and what we do in it? When are we going to understand the divisions we make for our expediency are not positive? There's no way such knee jerk reactions are going to solve the ingrained social problems we have in this post modern world.
