I Love the Outdoors and Nature

But yesterday I accidentally stepped on a patch of nettles in the garden. Now I can't put my shoes on 馃槖

Apply a paste made from baking soda and water to your feet. The best time to do this is immediately after it happens, if it should happen again. If you have any sort of oral antihistamine in the house, take one.

@4meAndyou Thank you for your advice 馃檪 I used an anti-histamine cream yesterday. It doesn't hurt, but my feet are red and swollen.

@SW-User Yes, I was just reading about it. It is an allergic reaction. The nettles are hollow, and the spikes break off when you step on them. They contain formic acid and histamines, which causes the stinging. Take an oral antihistamine today, such as Benadryl, if you have any in the house.

OUCH! I hope the swelling in your feet will go down soon.
