I Want to Know What Books You Are Reading

I'm about to read "The Shack" By, WM. Paul Young.

The movie that is based on this book is in theaters now and I just went to see it the other night.

Normally I would prefer reading the book before it becomes a movie, but being the goof that I am, I didn't even realize that when I saw this movie I already had the book and hadn't even read it yet.

I totally forgot that I had this book, when I saw that it was in theaters and saw the previews, while watching the movie I kept thinking to myself that it was a little familiar to me. When I got home from the theater that night, I went to my book collection and found it. Its been sitting on my bookshelf for months, I completely forgot that I had it. A friend of mine lent it to me last summer because he said it would be something he thought that I would like.

The movie was good, but now I wish I had read the book first. However, another friend of mine told me that she also has the book and read it, saw the movie too but said that the movie left out a lot of what's actually in the book.

Often times I find that once a movie is made based on a book the movie doesn't always do the book justice. The movie was good but, I'm anticipating the book more I think.

If anyone has read this book or seen this movie would you care to share your thoughts?

I am sorry to say but I couldn't bear the book and won't watch the movie. It just didn't jell with me at all.
Thank you for your input, I will let you know how the book is for me. I'll know after the first few chapters if its something for me.

In this case the movie might be better, but I just couldn't get into the book at all. Let me know what you think:)
@ravenwind43: Will do :) if you didn't like the book then you'd probably rather wait until it comes out on DVD instead of seeing it in the theater. It was okay bit not really Oscar worthy.

Yep! I will wait for the DVD:)
