I Don't Know How to Be In a Relationship

I'm not sure what to look for in a relationship. Cuddling with someone I can share everything with and really connect with on an emotional and intellectual level seems amazing, but I'm also afraid I'd feel smothered very quickly.

And when I interact with people, I noticed I'm quite easily satisfied. Just a good conversation can make me very happy too.

So I'm not sure what the ideal balance would be. Am I looking for romance, physical contact, or just a good friend? And should it be long term or am I happy with anyone I feel a connection with and is it OK if they come and go? Figuring that out would help a great deal with finding my soulmate.

Well from my perception and in my experience with long term dating I honestly feel that a healthy lifetime companionship should consist of two individuals whom are best friends and also give mutual physical contact and romance to one another; Or perhaps at least two of the three attributes where as the other person could confisate for the other ones short comings. Also relationships aren't for everyone although society may say otherswise, but needless to say I think that communication, honesty, and full-time commitment also play an important role in the longevity of a relationship.
