What's your definition of a troll?

My understanding is in reference to a social media internet troll it means an account that exists purely to upset other users. It can be real or cyber automated.

Someone who posts for the solitary reason of causing trouble, regardless of whether or not they have interest in the subject at hand

People who post bait knowing it’s going to irritate, as well as the people who reply to posts in a confrontational way.

Monsters under bridges that steal money

For me, a troll is someone that stirs the hornet's next for the sake of it. There was a lot of those back in the Yahoo Answers days.

Now, of course, it means anyone that may disagree with one's opinions. Like a contributor said above, the term troll has lost its original meaning.

Someone on the internet who intentionally does whatever they can to be as offensive as possible for the goal of laughing at people dumb enough to fall for it.

Those who only purpose and benefit from social media ... is to irritate others.

I aspire one day to have nothing pressing ... so I too will have time to pass the exam and graduate to troll staus.

Girls who brag here every time they block guy and complain about inappropriate DMs.
Like Putin once said, "you're not special!!! "

That appears to be subjective as to whether their posts hit a nerve or not

Midget Jehovahs wittiness.

Someone that posts on platforms for the sole purpose of being antagonistic.
Someone that gaslights and is a bit of a mean anarchist in the comment section.

Someone who makes account after account because they cant keep it together

Someone who gets banned for having a sense of humor
