I Am Confused About Some Things That Are Going On In My Life

I'm confused... I just got a new job but my team mates conversation's are not understandable they use word's that not everyone knows or heard of before, also the topic of the convo's are very different (most of the time I don't know what they are on about) When they ask my opinion on something or get me involved in the convo I just nod along to what they say and pretend to understand but never really get the topic. I've asked a few times but even when they explain it I still don't know what's going on!!

Should I just keep what I'm doing? - Pretending to know..Please let me know your thoughts on this!

@Love4All I understand them when it's work related but not when it's just a normal convo. I want to have a nice conversation with them about stuff so we can build a nice working relationship but I really am unsure on how to react to their topic's as I really don't understand what it's about.

@Fernie Yes, I'm the youngest...they are all older than me by 7+ years, the oldest is about 20 years older than me.

@Gabii00 Well, don't feel odd about not getting everything they talk about since they've had more and different life experiences. You won't get all of it since you have no frame of reference. Have a sense of humor about it all and it'll be fine...they'll think you're adorable
