I Think My Dad Is a Loser

My mom's car stopped on the way to work this morning at 6am. I informed my dad, who huffed and puffed and didn't want to get out of bed to go help. He left nearly an hour later to help.

Then her car wouldn't start when work was over. She got a jump from a coworker. It's below freezing outside and she's trying to get a battery for her car.
She asked my dad if she could drive his OTHER vehicle for a few days.

His response : "the heat went out on my car"
Meaning no, because he'd be cold if she drove his truck.

I don't see what kind of man would do his wife of 30+ years this way😣

@Itsmrsockmonkey i know. It really makes me sad. This isnt the first time this has happened. Her car stopped on the highway and he wouldn't leave work to go help. And he has PLENTY of paid time off. He's on vacation all the time.
He should keep hers in top running condition and if there is something that needs fixing he should take hers and let her drive his until it's in top running condition. Also he should fill her car up with gas, maintain both vehicles@iamnikki

This is what my dad does for my stepmom. Last summer the air conditoner went out on her car so he gave her his car and he took the car with no air. He drove 1 hour daily in the 115 degree Texas heat to get to work. There was no cool air blowing whatsoever, he just took a pack of ice with him everyday to keep cool. @Itsmrsockmonkey
Now that's how to treat his wife@DaughterOfTheDust

Overall, he did the right thing of course but I was a bit mad at my stepmom for letting him do it. I rode in that car with no air for 10 minutes and felt like I was dying. I don’t know how he drove an hour to work and home like that everyday. @Itsmrsockmonkey
