I don't gain a special pleasure from the hair-cut as such, but years ago "discovered" unisex hairdressers.
Almost invariably staffed by women, who don't use the word "barberette" in this country, I soon found it far more pleasurable than in the old-fashioned barbers' shops. Those I remember as of the almost uniform, boring old short-back-and-sides, and the talk almost uniformly of the weather, boxing or football - I follow neither sport so know almost nowt about them.
With the women, not only is the conversation more interesting, but with the added delight of one being pampered by an elegant woman for ten minutes or so!
