Yes it is Elena...you want to be safe online
daaaan2000 · 41-45, M
@alisonjayne Or do you use it to make sure they don't leave when they are grounded?

Yulianna · 26-30, F
very sensible with younger children
chrisCA · M
@Yulianna True, but I wonder if younger children should have a phone.
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@chrisCA do you mean they should have just tracking devices?
Keepitsimple · 56-60, F
My kids would have a tracking app until they are off my bill and out of my house.
anderst · 46-50, M
@Keepitsimple so long ma'am
Keepitsimple · 56-60, F
@anderst adios!
anderst · 46-50, M
@Keepitsimple ??? I mean I live still in my moms house
anderst · 46-50, M
I had my first phone with age 24, and it was only a phone no App works on it. But I am sure if I had a phone as a Teen, my mom would install a tracking app on it :(
anderst · 46-50, M
@chrisCA and get than trouble with the parents
chrisCA · M
@anderst Maybe. If you don't trust your kids, then don't give them a phone, or just a flip phone for voice.
anderst · 46-50, M
@chrisCA I am only happy that my mom use no tracking app on my phone
No. I knew parents that used it to keep track of their kids to sell them into sex rings.
Besides, phones can already be tracked.
Liketobeaadult · 16-17, M
I have on my phone a tracking app too, it’s a bit embarrassing for me to know that
Yes and no.

Agree with some of the replies below.

You need to be safe elena.

Yes esp under 16 as long as the child knows. 17and up I'm less certain if the child agrees
anderst · 46-50, M
Did you parents use a tracking app on your phone Elena?
Train them up to report in. And you wont have to follow them around..
Little kids yes.....but teenagers...stand by for trouble!
vetguy1991 · 56-60, M
I don't see a problem with it
How old is the kid?
thomassa · M
maybe sometimes
SW-User
Yes ... until he's 18
animus · 22-25, T
i think it's kinda weird
Bjoern1997 · 26-30, M
How Old are you?
Selah ·
I'm going to say no. Because the few times I have seen that the parents were controlling their children through it and either abusing them themselves or prosituting them to friends. The know where you are at all times/no privacy thing seems to be a theme of sex abuse. It's all about controling them completely.
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
Yep.
Useful tool.
I’m sure if you’re a reasonably conscientious teen you know what a crazy f➖up world it is out there and anything that allows you a little freedom with the security of your folks being able to find you should you get into trouble is worth the impact on you trying to act the’grown-up’ when clearly you’re not.

Lot of weird mofos out there with evil intent.
