I Have Made An Observation

Mental illness buys you protection. No ones wants to f**k with mental illness. At least much of it. But that’s also a super power in disguise. It just sucks when the person with this said, ‘mental illness’ doesn’t realize it to use to their advantage. It’s kinda interesting...

I have actually used mine to my advantage at work in the past. Too bad I can't just have the good bits 😕

@SW-User Everyone has their challenges and you know what? It’s all mental anyhow whether it’s regarded as ‘mental illness’ or not. Our struggles and suffering is mostly mental. And anything that stands out as ‘other’ is a way to help us all evolve our selves anyhow. It’s how I look at it.

I'm not sure I'd go that far, this puts me through hell and has ruined my life and if there were a cure, I'd take it in a moment. It can be like being trapped in a nightmare that I can die in.

Don't fall into the trap of romanticizing it.

What if though what you go through doesn’t always have to be solely negative, but that your ‘difference ‘ require a different approach . And you just haven’t figured it out yet. Im not trying to romanticize, but give a different perspective.

Ok, for some reason my comments are being marked nudity and they’re not :/

@TheLoveAge lol I don't know how that happened

Oh, it's not entirely negative. Everyone with bipolar knows all about the good bits and most make use of it in one way or another. It's a big advantage in a creative field, and the highs can feel amazing like a religious experience. But oh man do you ever pay a price for it.

Managing it does actually require a bunch of approaches used all at the same time. Meds are only a small part of that, and I actually use less than most people because I lean on the other approaches as much as I can, especially lifestyle changes.

Ultimately, you're right, I don't see it as a disease but that I'm just hooked up slightly differently from other people. I'd still rather not be like this, though.

@SW-User 🤗 I sense you’re a very lovely person. And that’s all that maters. And to F with the naysayers. There’s nothing wrong with how you’re hooked up. You got good hookups😂
