I Am Aware Of Politics And Keep Up With What Is Going On

Donald Trump's cabinet picks reveal his true character and what he thinks of his working class supporters.

So let us consider Donald Trump, who campaigned as the populist champion of the working-class, promising that - by golly - he was going to take on Wall Street and the corporate elites.

But the bitter irony for the working class is that they now see what the punk meant - he’s literally “taking on” the moneyed powers, by taking them on-board his administration. Already he’s brought in Wall Street billionaires to fill the three top economic policy positions in his cabinet.

Also, more than half the members of Trump’s Department of Defense transition team have been executives or lobbyists for such military contractors as Boeing.

Overall, according to the watchdog group Public Citizen, three-fourths of Trump’s transition teams - which are organizing, staffing, and shaping our new government - come from corporate America. Not a single working class populist has been allowed a seat at the table.

As America’s working stiffs know, if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. Trump’s no populist. He’s a full-time corporatist.

Blues... could you be any dumber? Why the hell wouldn't a leader surround himself with people who are accomplished professionals at the disciplines he is assigning them? You'd rather have some hack intellectual with a political agenda and no real experience or success outside of landing a job?

Of course you would. No wonder President Obama is the first in the history of the nation not to experience 3% or greater growth at some point during his tenure.

It was Bernie who was all against corporate elites dipstick. The Donald is a capitalist through and through. Always has been, always will be. 😏

Oh gosh! it really sucks to have well educated people!

@GoldenWorm: are you saying Titans of industry are not educated? I beg to differ. They are not only educated but have applied their trade and reached levels of success others can only dream of. Grow up.

You're the one who called educated people "career losers". Way to dis normal americans. Why do you love the elite?
So ... successful leaders ... who can actually do math ... who are not economically idealogic .... who do not need money and who have a passion aligned with the popular objectives ... is a bad thing?

I am amazed he could get such talent.

The issue, is not that he brought on successful business people, it's that these are the same people, who contributed to making America not so great, and they came from the same swamp he promised to drain. So, he will have to admit, that America is not such a bad place, after all.

Nah, who am I kidding. He just hired the most talented spin master in history, Kellyanne Conway, as his presidential advisor. She'll spin it, and his followers will trip over themselves, trying to come up with new definitions of common terms. Unprecedented landslide, for instance.
His cabinet picks should have been poor people. Poor people should run this country. They're really good at doing things.

@DixieChick: [c=#BF0080]Ehhh I didn't find the content all that funny.. it was more of the fact that someone actually took that much time and effort into writing a Christmas poem about it.. okay, okay.. I admit I'm easily amused. 😂[/c]

@pinkrainbowkisses: Oh Pink...I know the feeling...I am easily amused as well...Glad you enjoyed his rant. hahaha I read a much better one on EP about Democrats and Republicans....so FUNNY! But it wasn't mixed with Christmas...I laughed for days about the one I read. :)

His cabinet is worth as much as 70 countries. It's disgusting when so few people have so much wealth. If they did good things with it, that might be a different story (like the Gates).
