He is Australian. He has an ugly deformed face due to a condition he was born with. He has a Tedtalk on YouTube well worth watching. He tells his story with a lot of insight, some humor and a lot of courage. I highly recommend this Tedtalk especially for anyone who has struggled with any appearance issue. Our faces show so much more than just how pretty or ugly we are; the portrait his artist friend painted of him shows how he looks to an artist and a person who cares about and admires him.
