I Hate Meetings

NO MORE MEETINGS> NONE.

Seriously people... how could you force me to talk to people who sat in ANOTHER meeting for two hours... and expect them to either care or pay attention? They had food, and that was their concern... eating.
Ugh... just let me send an email. It's over 100 degrees and I'm tromping across campus in heels.

It was 95 today with heat indices above 100. So I headed for the mountains. It is only 85 degrees there! It is so lush and green, and the full-leaved trees provide nice shade. It was so pretty with all the vegetation coating the mountainside. But I just drove around: it was still too hot to get out and walk.

On the way out there I took slow back roads, weaving through farmland. The fields are so lovely. We got enough rain this year so that everything is lush and green, not full of dried husks like some late summers. The corn is so lovely, so tall, so plump with happy ears of goodness. Row on row of neat stalks plumed with reddish "hairs" swaying in the breeze. I love sweet corn on the cob. Mmmm.

Sorry about being stuck in meetings.
