I Love Dresses

I love dresses.
Please keep in mind that this is written from a personal standpoint and I understand and acknowledge other people's views, this is just the way I like to live, thanks. I love dresses, I think all women look better in them than in pants. Many people say my views are 'old fashioned' but I think it is important for a woman to show her femininity through her clothing. My ex boyfriend was the first person to introduce me to this lifestyle. When I lived with him I was expected to get up early every morning to prepare his breakfast and clean while wearing a dress he had told me to wear the night before. He taught me that my dresses and skirts (almost all of which reached past the knee) were a sign of my position in our household, with the man wearing the pants going out and making the money, and the woman supporting him taking care of the house. Although our relationship ended a long time ago to this day I don't own a single pair of pants and I am extremely thankful for the man that taught me.

Thanks for your comments just remember I'm writing this from a personal standpoint and I completely understand and have no problem with other people's views.

[c=#003BB2]I don't think I could ever date a guy that actually still thinks like that.. I like wearing pants and don't wanna just wear dresses or skirts, but each to their own... I'm my house though, I wear the pants 😋 [/c]

I like dresses. they are comfortable and EASY. I don't have to think about what goes with a dress.. it just exists as a complete outfit on its own. They are pretty, and feeling feminine is nice. But, some days I just feel like wearing pants!
I am the sole provider, so... it has nothing to do with gender roles. I think people should do what makes them happy, and if it made you happy to live in a relationship like that, that's nice. I don't like the idea of being a housewife, and I"m glad I was not born in the 50's because I would have made a terrible housewife... lol. I like the idea of having a partner that wants to do things together, and the idea of marrying someone who could cook.. well, that would be awesome.
I'm glad I live in a country where I'm basically free to ignore that kind of thinking. Although it is interesting as a relic of ancient times.

I agree with this so much

Glad you're happy with that, but that will never be me.

Respect and good manners are some of the things I think should be still around ... I like that you enjoy wearing dresses ,, but the idea of the man working and woman staying at home is a nice thought but with the way things are in this day and age it is not practical in order to survive... You Ex ,, most have had a great job ,,,

I agree with you. Women look more elegant, beautiful and feminine in a dress or skirt than wearing pants. Nice to know that you don't own a single pair of pants and that you wear dresses and skirts all the time. You must be very feminine.

I'm a guy. I don't own a single pair of pants either. I can assure anyone that I definitely do not look feminine nor would I ever wish to appear to be a female. It is all about the comfort that comes from not wearing a garment with crotch seams. When will men get their heads out of some place where the sun does not shine to allow them to discover the comfort found by wearing a dress or a skirt?

I don't own a single pair of pants or shorts either. I favor the comfort of wearing a garment without those annoying crotch seams. My wife wears the pants in our family. I am thankful that I no longer have to wear pants. We have a marriage free of gender based clothing discrimination. 😔

In many ways I agree with what you say, especially in a family with children.
It is much easier if each parent knows and agrees their role.
I am a father of two children, I was always the breadwinner and the mother of the children took 15 years off work, after the first was born, to raise them and to look after the house.

However, I would not say that I "wore the trousers" in the traditional sense as I was not in charge. All the important decisions were made together.

I think women should do what they want and stop trying to please anyone but themselves as far as looks go...
I love it that you are so feminine -- to me that also makes you more sexy...
olderguy2016 · 70-79, M
yes, dresses make woman pretty...pants makes them sexy
jaymic64 · M
That is so sexy. I love a dress and the access.
mathsman · 70-79, M
Love a girl in a summer dress

Most men would also be more comfortable as well as look better wearing a skirt or a dress but they are too sexually insecure to evaluate clothing choices rationally.

If that what you want go for it.

A confident women loops good in. A dress or jeans.
