I Am a Believer of Christ

Through original sin man inherited concupiscence, the inner urging (temptation) for personal pleasure such as greed, lust, gluttony, etc. Through our free will we have the choice to reject or accept these temptations.

We have tools such as prayer and our relationship with God, to help strengthen our self control and intellect to fight these temptations and to avoid them.

But we also have the presence of satan, the prince of lies who magnifiest these temptations by trying to convince us they are harmless or even beneficial to us which is exactly the ploy he used in the Garden.

But temptation in itself is not a sin. It is only when we give into them through our thoughts, intentions or actions that we commit sin
But don't underestimate the temptation whether it's a sin that hides in the heart or from the outside. Satan roams like a roaring lion seeking those he can devour. Catch it as it is a temptation.

I had no clue what concupiscence meant. I had to Google it.
