I Shop On Amazon

I bought quite a bit of stuff on Amazon on Saturday afternoon. I have Prime and they promised delivery of most of it between 7am and 10pm Monday (today). Problem is, my credit card has changed and payment was refused. I noticed on Sunday (yesterday) and updated the card details. The parcel tracker still says it's due for delivery today, but the status of it is not even set as "despatched" yet, let alone "out for delivery".

Has anyone had this situation and did the parcel come on the specified day or not? I don't particularly want to sit here until 10pm for a parcel that isn't coming. Especially not when I can be outside, traipsing around in the grey drizzle.

I've just about had it with Amazon freaking prime. That 2 day shipping we pay for often turns into a week now. I'm using Walmart more these days because they keep their promise of 2 day shipping and there's no annual fee...and many things are cheaper. I hate being held captive all day not knowing if and when my order will arrive.

@InOtterWords A couple are despatched already, but I should be able to roll up Thursday and Friday's to all come on Friday. Least I can step out on Thursday then.

@InOtterWords They always sent things in one order...this is a new behavior...they are somehow saving money at our expense and TIME!!
...I'm this close to telling them to just "stick it!"

Maybe message the seller and ask them if your order is valid or not.

@SW-User It's not one of the independent sellers but is instead being fulfilled by Amazon themselves, and they're not easy to get in touch with!

@SW-User Nah, and I've just gone and had another look and it's gone back to "payment revision required" so I've updated my credit card details for the second time. I'm guessing it's not coming today.

They always split my orders up and it drives me crazy, I could get 5 different parcels.

I get parcels from UK to Ireland in 2 days regularly enough, in fact last week books I ordered on Sat morning arrived on Monday, I think that's pretty impressive

@SW-User Mine has been split up into four. Just one more to come now. On the upside, one got delivered to the business next door and when I went in to pick it up, the woman behind the desk was clearly flirting with me!

I don't really have a problem with Amazon prime. I know that weekends aren't really business days so if I order something on the weekend, I can't expect it until Tuesday. However if I order on Friday I may get it on Monday.

Amazon is the best. Once I was not at home, delivery person delivered package to neighbours

@SW-User They've left it with the business next door before, but this is so much stuff, I think it might be an inconvenience to them and they'd have nowhere to put it all.

Call them....it's always some guy in Bombay who speaks very weak English and I have to constantly ask him to repeat and he constantly says" yes, so sorry ma'am, thank you for using Amazon"...etc...just more aggravation...they are just too big for their britches now and I guess 3 squillion bucks profit annually is just not enough!
