I Don't Like Being Told What to Do

I KNOW! xD I mean I posted something about how I like to mix soda and crushed ice. No joke, someone yelled at me for doing that because it was bad for me. I am like, it is cool you care about someone's health. You know? But do you have to do it so mean xD LOL

Listening to others and being told what to do are to different things. You did not tell me to fix my post. You did not tell me that I made a mistake. You made a comment that was a suggestion. Which, I thought was a good one, so I acted on the suggestion you gave.

Did it ever occur to you that people are telling you these things based on their own experience? Maybe listening will spare you a negative experience they had to endure. Someday you are going to look back and wish you'd listened a time or two.

Well it really does depend on what we are talk it about, doesn't it? If we were talking about topic such as "Being Gay", then there is no right or wrong answer. Which means no one should be able to say "You should be gay!" or "You should be straight!" Which is what I don't listen to at all. I learn from my own experiences and love them. Both the good and the bad.

However, there are things that do have a right or wrong answer. Such as the "How to Ride a Bike" there is a right way to ride a bike and a wrong way to ride. Of course when it comes to things like these where you have solid proof that there is a right and a wrong. It is only naturally to listen to others to get what you desire, which in this case is to ride the bike.

People also overestimate their own knowledge and abilities. Pride comes before the fall.
