I have a brother who was a born artist and spent years feeling like I lived in that shadow. In my young adult life I began to embrace my own talents and find that I can draw to my own satisfaction, if only at intervals.

I feel like I'm in nearly everyone's artistic shadow. People tell me I'm good but there are so many other people I've seen that are so much better.
Draw for you. That is what I learned through long experience. Once you learn to enjoy your own work then you can enjoy that of others in kind and step out of the shadows.
