I Believe In Friendship

There is this girl in my life as of the moment. The two of us have known each other for a little over a year, but never really spoke to each other. About a week or two ago we both had to volunteer for an event at our school and began talking a lot. She was really good friends with my best friend and when my best friend went away this girl (That I'm talking about) came to me to talk, socialize, etc. We basically because very close friends in two days. The day of the event we did practically everything together and went to go walk around town after. I learned a lot about her and we basically got crash courses on each others' lives. Since then we've gone to get food together and shopping and what not and I really have enjoyed it. But there's this part of me that thinks that because we got to know each other so quickly our friendship isn't going to be as genuine as if we were to slowly get to know each other. But who knows, I'm happy with it right now.
