Hate is a big word. And I'm sure you've met kind Muslims in your life that don't need to announce their beliefs. But overall, it's a cancer in the world. But I could say that about every religion. Irrespective of whatever good it provides the individual or society. Those things would exist without religion. It's not the worth the "bad" side.
