I Wrote This Nonsense
Recently, I made a goal to spend $100 (Not all at once) on Scratch off Lottery tickets. I also plan on keeping track of what I win by doing so. So far, I spent $10 and won $3.
Update: I had a wee bit of extra money, so I bought a $5 ticket. So my spending is up to $15. I won $0 on that ticket, so my winnings are still at $3.
Another update: I had a wee bit of extra money, so I bought a $5 ticket. So my spending is up to $20. I won $0 on that ticket, so my winnings are still at $3.
Another update: I bought a $3 ticket. I won $0 on it, so my total spent, so far is $23 and my total winnings so far, is $3.
Another update on the silly (?) quest: I had an extra $4, so I bought 4 one dollar tickets. I won $4 on those 4 tickets. I have yet to cash them in. So, My total spent is now $27 and total winnings is is $7. To my recollection of playing such games occasionally since shortly after my 18th birthday, that is about par for the course.
April 6 2018: Since the last update I spent $30 on the games and won $50. So, my total spent is $57 and my total winnings are also $57, unless I messed up the math somewhere.
July 30, 2018: I bought a $5 ticket and won $0 so my total spent is $62. My total winning sis still $57.
March 6, 2019: Another silly update on this silly post. I haven't been keeping very careful track but since the last update I spent something like $15 and won $5. So, total spent: $77 Total won: $62
March 8, 2019: I spent $6 on tickets today and won $0 on those tickets. :/ So, total sent so far: $83 Total won: $62
June 6, 2019: A week or so ago, I decided to officially put this quest on hold. I still plan on spending another $17 on those silly things, and reporting for whoever is interested what I win with that $17, but I decided I'm in no hurry to spend $17 of my heard earned money and if I'm lucky win the $17 back, if I'm REALLY lucky, win $30 or so, and if I'm literally Mr. 1 in a million, win a few thousand dollars with that $17.
Dec. 28th 2020: Since I officially put this quest on hold I spent $5 on those silly things so I now have $12 to go. I won $0 with that $5. :/ Total spent: $88 Total won: $62
July 21, 2021: Yesterday or the day before, I spent $2 on those silly things. I won $0. So, $10 to go.
Sept. 8, 2021: The last few days I bought 10 $1 tickets. I won $1 on that $10. The original goal is complete. :) (?) Total spent: $100. Total won $63. Will I swear off EVER playing those games again? That probably would be wise, but rarely am I accused of being wise.
