No I did not. But it would be very interesting, I don’t know how accurate any of them are though. I don’t want to be put in their databases to have my information sold to outside entities for hell knows what.

@cherokeepatti can't even trust companies with emails and phone numbers lol. I have had a ridiculous amount of spam and even scam calls since all this started.

You can have it on private which I did. You can delete all of your information and dna results anytime. It matched me up with my daughter and also a half sibling I didn't know I had. Plus some of my cousins showed up. So as far as Im concerned, its pretty accurate. @cherokeepatti

@KuroNeko Yes and they create all kinds of new scams when the old scams get publicized and aren’t working. I wish I had a free worry-free vacation for every time I got a call telling me I had been given a free resort vacation with airfare. Would be away from home more than I was at home.

@cherokeepatti We are getting some really scary ones at the moment. You realise its a scam a few second in but for moment you think you are about to be arrested for fraud.

@SW-User I know a young woman who never got to meet her father, he died before she was born and she never met any of his family. She got it done and and it was very accurate on her mother’s side. So maybe they are better now or certain companies are better. They did an experiment for The Doctors Show one time with identical twins. Didn’t use their real names & had their DNA tests done by 3 different companies and got different results even though they were identical twins. Seemed to be very inaccurate

I read that identical twins might not have identical results. It was great in my case. Very accurate from the stories told by my family. The half sibling was a shock but our dna matched and she knew my mothers maiden name which surprised me.@cherokeepatti

@KuroNeko They don’t call you up on the phone, that’s not the way they do business when it comes to warrants.

@SW-User My father was in the military and bragged that he had children wherever he was stationed and he was stationed in a good many places. If everyone in the entire world was registered in a DNA database I can’t even imagine how many would be siblings. I worked with a woman that I suspected could have been my half-sister. She resembled my father’s sister not only physically but in her personality & attitudes (which may be partly genetic). I had not said of word of this to anyone but one day my daughter decided to walk to my job site & wait till I got off of work & ride home with me. She told me after we got in the car that the woman reminded her of my aunt. Then the woman told me later on that her father wasn’t her real father & that her mother met a military man & fell in love & got pregnant. He was on leave & I asked her where her mother lived, same town where my father had lived before. I asked her if she knew his name and she said “John Smith.” I had a terrible feeling her father was my father then. She is 10 years old than me and the timing was about right.

Wow that would be a shock to see a resemblance in a coworker who could be your sibling! I looked to see if my dad had any other children but haven't found anything on ancestry.com. He was in the Navy years before he met my mom.@cherokeepatti

@SW-User I didn’t peep it out to her. I asked her if that adopted father was good to her and he was. If we’d done a DNA test and it was shown to be positive it would almost be news-worthy wouldn’t it? But the sad thing is that my father was a very sadistic man who committed a lot of crimes, I wouldn’t want those thoughts to get into her mind. She is a very family-oriented person and thought that could have done some damage or at least been haunting to her.

I agree with you there. The half sister I found out about was raised in a good home. I have no interest in meeting her. She had a better home with them than she would have had being raised by my parents.@cherokeepatti
