Agree
That must be terrible. I knew a lovely lady who told me of her story, she was on the toilet literally 11 times a day. It kept her housebound.
She was emaciated and barely had any energy at her worst.
They even had to do a surgery.
Is there a silver lining?
YES! A gold studded with diamonds lining, in fact :)
So, it was discovered that she is Gluten (the protein found in wheat , barley and rye) intolerant/allergic/has celiac.
Many people who have issues with Gluten also have issues with milk products.Because the proteins are so similar.
She is one of those people.
Long story short, and her healing journey WAS hard: She was emaciated and had other things that needed to be set right.
She ELIMINATED ALL gluten
Eliminated ALL milk also (and all milk products and derivatives)
she eliminated any processed foods.
And most sugars.
She'd eat maybe rice or oats or buckwheat (NOT from wheat) or other Gluten Free grains. But not often.
She ate primarily protein, vegetables, fruit. Drank water. No alcohol. No caffeine. These also are irritants
(coffee is a stimulant and a DIURETIC: NEVER fails to work on me lol.)
Alcohol contains sulphates.
and tried to eat as healthy as possible.
Her IBS stopped.
Totally stopped.
I wish you luck.
If you want to read up about how Gluten sensitivity /allergy manifest in hundreds of myriad and terrible ways, MOST peeps are NOT AWARE that they are susceptible(are genetically predisposed).
This is a great site which has the FORUM:
You will learn a lot there and get support. www.celiac.com
Yeah, I know. This all sounds totally like BS and too much.
It was basically MY thinking many years ago, when I and my child presented with very different symptoms, and it was one common link: Gluten.
But honestly, do you have anything to lose?
Try to eat no gluten and no milk or milk product and any gluten derivatives.
Also cut out the coffee and alcohols.
Give it a month. See how it goes.
If you are better but not totally, you may need to cut off the processed foods. ETC.
I hope this was helpful to you or someone.
Good luck and take care, Luna 😀🌈🌺

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I have a terrible chronic debilitating case as well
So now I am on pro and prebiotics, wonderfully helpful in weight control and so far no real other problems..more exercise will also help a lot...and I stay away from sugar and other irritants and now cheese...
I have great hopes for the new pro and prebiotic routine, it seems to be a valid scientific approach to a myriad of GI problems
