I Write, and Having Written, Move On

I could see in her eyes
What her lips weren't telling me
What her words weren't selling me
What her heart really wanted.

I hearted this last night, and had to giggle because I'd just written about the same subject moments before. Succint, but says so much..awesome job!💫

@SW-User I know! When I read one of yours I saw you mention a garden. I swear I didn’t copy! Haha!
SW-User
@NewKidInTown Oh no, I've yet to post it. No worries. Plus it's written in a different format...🧚‍♀️

But there's isn't a garden in this one, silly boy. I need to look further into your work. I love finding word nerds and writing souls.

@SW-User I meant you commented on my garden one and I read your garden one, almost simultaneously. Funny how life works sometimes

@NewKidInTown Oh, duh.🙈..the other poem of yours. I love ironies like that!

@SW-User There are no coincidences.
Or maybe there are 🤷‍♂️
SW-User
@NewKidInTown I believe in serendipity. I found a best friend through writing here. I discovered another through tragedy outside of here. Nothing is accidental imo.😉
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@SW-User I believe in providence as well. I read a book once that offered the opinion that all seemingly coincidences should be explored fully, to get to the reason or meaning behind it. That stuck with me

@NewKidInTown As a complex individual, I totally get that idea. It is also why I am often misunderstood; being overly passionate about the knowing & deeper meaning of things. Therefore, I'm crazy to many.😏

See...serendipity..finding kindred minds.💫

@SW-User It’s sad when wonder and curiosity are frowned upon or dissuaded
It’s part of the human spirit. It’s what keeps me going, why I read, and watch, and listen
@NewKidInTown The same with myself. Sigh to being so intricate, but I don't believe I'd want to change a thing. It makes me.."me"
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 Not should you. As long as you aren’t hurting anyone, nothing wrong with being yourself, and discovering who you are. Some aren’t so brave or curious
@NewKidInTown Oh no. I'd never hurt anyone intentionally, but I have lost people due to the need to know "more". They feel interrogated or that I'm angry,; getting me all wrong, so I get hurt. But I've been this way since childhood, there's no turning back. I like myself even if others don't understand & accept who I am.
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 I wonder if those who don’t like being questioned, are afraid of the answers. There are people who will appreciate what you have to offer. Just as there are those who want to be with someone content to just let life be and never question why. Hopefully we all find each other. Problems arise when someone from the former ends up with someone from the latter :)
@NewKidInTown I think that's a possibility, especially here. I swim in a deeper sea than most. Empty promises and being pushed aside, gets so tiring though. I'm intense & passionate {as in thinking} & I just need to limit who I open up to. As you saw in my pm the other day, I express my life experiences too easily & really need to stop. I've made resolutions, so we'll see. Haha
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 I suppose if it continues to bite you in the ass or give you grief, then maybe you have to reconsider your approach with people.
I for one, appreciate honesty and openness on here. Perhaps because I am not like that, not until I fully trust someone, and even then, I find it difficult.
@NewKidInTown I just don't or won't approach anyone, I suppose..just to say safe, it's probably best.🙂
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 Stay safe! And beware of the Muffin Man ;)
@NewKidInTown Who's the muffin man?
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 Do you know the muffin man?
@NewKidInTown Oh! Wasn't that some sort of childhood riddle? I was made wise before my years, so I missed out on a lot of that stuff. I wasn't like other kids.😅
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 I just googled it myself. There is another meaning for the muffin man, one NOT from my childhood 😳
@NewKidInTown Oh my! The urban version is terrible. Holy crap...😳 We have many muffin mans in the spotlight now. Wow.
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@ML2022 Many? Where???👀
@NewKidInTown
In your words..

I read a book once that offered the opinion that all seemingly coincidences should be explored fully, to get to the reason or meaning behind it. That stuck with me

Geesh. You're not even here, and I'm giggling about serendipity on this one. Oh how I miss your presence here, and hope you return, but at least I have you elsewhere. A funny thing fate can be, I guess more than that quote stuck with you.

You know the sentimental I am😉.....
