I would say I don't *understand* tattoos, but that's probably really a lack of understanding, and then some... Arguments it's artistic and beautiful fall on deaf ears, because it'd be more beautiful on the wall if so, than on skin where it'll never change even if THEY will.
And tribal and similar stuff only make sense if they're actually of that tribe/ethnicity etc. otherwise it's even somewhat disrespectful cultural appropriation. Need we mention fair or not it can also limit people's career options, and unlike say weight or appearance, it's COMPLETELY elective, and then they complain about how society is judging them for what they CHOSE to do to themselves, like wtf?
I understand some people have great need for this for mental reasons, like control of their bodies, possibly self-image issues etc. in which case I certainly won't judge, and I won't say I know anyone's reasons so...
But yeah, I don't exactly get it.

Me either ... I don’t even like the odd hickey from a frisky hubby

I think it can depend on the subject matter and the quality of the art.
I've seen some that are amazing, and others that are utterly terrible.
I've often thought about getting one myself but would want to find something perfect.

Ha! I thought it was just me, everyone seem to love tattoos, I don't get it, nothing looks better than unstained skin in my opinion...

No you are not weird. But being open minded means you can not be fan for yourself while understanding what tattoos can mean to others.

Well....can’t you get past it? It’s his body. He has to deal with it, not you.

Me neither, and the more people that have them, the less I like them.

They are a lifetime commitment to ink.

They are ugly and stupid.

I love mine. But I considered a few things before getting them:
They’re on areas I can cover by clothing
Their symbolic value will always be important to me.
They’re also on areas I’ve kept firm.
