i can take meds to kill physical pain, but they're no meds for a broken heart
i have physical pain every day 24/7 . A broken heart will stay with you but you can move on - you need to choose that . You need to pull yourself up and say ok - what can I do to make my self happy again ?

@mrmoose: To a point I agree, but I have been on pain meds for 6 weeks now (NSAIDs) and they are no longer as effective as they once were. The pain only dissipates. I still can't bend down to touch the floor to feed my cat and empty her litter box. I can't touch the floor period. I have a hard time getting dressed. I can't work. I am broke. Emotional pain can also intensify the effects of physical pain. I am more combative.

@inquisitive1407: i'm sorry, have you talked with your doc, maybe a different set of meds might help

The doctor sees me as a number. He has sent me an email asking me to come in to discuss other NSAIDs. Now why on earth would I do something like that? How would switching to another NSAID help? They are all bad for your kidneys and increase your risk of stomach ulcers and worse. I read about a lady who was on them for 6 months and required dialysis. If I don't find real solutions to manage my pain better, I can find myself in a similar situation. I am awaiting a referral to a rheumatologist. Could be waiting a long time....In the mean time I need to come up with better self-management solutions.

@inquisitive1407: have you tried acupuncture?
inquisitive1407 · F
I can consider that. Thanks. I do have insurance that covers a maximum of 10 sessions with alternative health care providers. Currently seeing a physiotherapist. Looking into chiropractors as well.

@inquisitive1407: thats good, i hope it will help. sometimes steroids can help too
inquisitive1407 · F
@mrmoose: Steroids would be the treatment I would go on once confirmed. A regular doctor cannot prescribe Prednisone.
